It is difficult to put into words how wonderful our Cottage Dreams experience was.
After 4 months in hospital receiving treatment away from my young children, spending quality time with them in a wonderful cottage nestled in a natural setting was a gift that we will never forget. The generosity of the cottage sponsors and the cottage owners provides the gift of irreplaceable memory making for families who have had the difficult challenge of dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Our family thanks Cottage Dreams from the bottom of our hearts for some respite from this illness and it’s repercussions and more importantly, for providing the invaluable gift of quality time spent with family. - Testimonial from a Cottage Visitor
Sponsoring A Visit
Who We Are
Canadian families have been finding peace, tranquility and inspiration in cottage country for over a century. Cottage Dreams, a registered charity, was created with this in mind. Since 2003, this unique cottage lending program has grown to include hundreds of donated cottages across Ontario and has given hundreds of family members much needed time away at a cottage. How You Can Help
Your Sponsor a Visit gift will help families who want to use the cottage experience as a way to begin the transition from cancer patient to cancer survivor. The number of applicants is growing every day - we have families waiting for time away this season.

What We Do
We make entire families feel better after treatment through the generosity of people like you. Major advances in cancer treatment are resulting in more people winning their war with cancer. Coming out of active treatment, more and more Canadians will become cancer survivors, faced with rebuilding their lives, reconnecting with their families and
friends and rejoining their workplace and community. A cancer diagnosis often brings financial hardship for the patient and their family as work schedules are interrupted, sometimes for lengthy periods. Time away to heal, reflect and rebuild is often unattainable and unaffordable, precisely when Cottage Dreams is most needed and is most effective.
